Selamat Hari Raya Waisak

Ini foto keramaian di temple dekat rumah saya. Belum cek apakah ini
bagian dari upacara agama nya atau pengaruh budaya cina ya?

Apapun... Selamat hari raya Waisak bagi yg merayakan!

Vesak day is a Buddhist celebration. Not all chinese celebrate it unless if they are Buddhist of course. Something like Maulidur rasul for the muslims, or Christmas for the Christians, Vesak day is a day to celebrate Gautama Buddha's birthday.

Don't have any of those celebrations here. Hungary is boring in that sense.

Syari,

Yes waisak or vesak day is celebratrd by the buddhists around the world. In many countries often religion intertwines with local cultures, or rather, the local cultures gives special flavour to how the religion is practised and celrbrated.

I am not sure having lion dance and this cute fish dance has anything to do with Buddha Gautama's birthday...
Since the majority of the population here is chinese, i thought perhaps this is how the chinese buddhists celerate vesak day here!

Yup, singapore is much more interesting than hungary in this sense;)
